I'm all ready you see.
Now my troubles are going to have troubles with me!
- Dr. Seuss

My Friday

So the feeling I've been having about my job and job situation has been rather interesting. I've turned from sad and depress to just looking forward to some time off and just relaxing. Even in this tough economic times you would think some one would in a frantic panic about things.

But I think in a way I've been shielded by the economic crisis in a lot better way than others. I've heard about friends getting laid off and dealing with savings and bills. I would say its kind of amusing looking back at things in a way where all the ducks start lining themselves in a row. I stated in previous post that there are several things I wanted do before considering a new job...save enough money to last in case of emergency(6 months worth) as well as get a year or two of experience. Which I kind of have.

And then now, kind of a turn of evens as I'm leaving...another team in my company has scheduled me for an interview. So In a way God has answered two years of prayers in two weeks ...during an economic recession.

I just have to remind myself that he walks on water time to time.

“[More Than Conquerors] And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”- Romans 8:28

Thursday, March 12, 2009

The secret of genius is to carry the spirit of the child into old age, which means never losing your enthusiasm. - Victor Hugo

My Morning Thoughts

Forgot to post on wednesday because I thought it was tuesday and now I'm posting on thursday because I forgot to post on wednesday and I'm going to redo on saturday. Of course the last part is irrelevant but decided to throw that in there anyways.

I've been praying about things and looking at the subject of my prayers from many different angles to figure out the pros and cons of which happen to be my situation.

Looking at what God is trying to tell me, or if its God answer to my prayers or something that is a trail God wants me to go thought, or D all the above.

Kind of funny how certain pieces of things are falling into place which I've prayed in the past. Reading from my journal I can see a series of check points that I've set for myself being answered by God. Chronologically things that I've wanted to accomplish before the next, and at the moment aligning themselve all in an instance.

I would have say praying about these things have kept me sane and not to worried about things. Know the situation and the situation of others, I'm a little better of than some others.

My Morning Coffee

Good ol xkcd

“Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature and escape the corruption in the world caused by evil desires.”- 2 Peter 1:4

Monday, March 09, 2009

Friends
A memory lasts forever.
Never does it die.
True friends stay together.
And never say goodbye. - Anon

My One Year Mark

Next Tuesday is the one year mark of my landing my new jobs. Ironically it will also be the last. I was informed the prior Tuesday that I will be let go due to workforce reduction. I understand the reasoning behind it all. Its business, they need to cut corners in times like this.

But I guess this is also a good case in point of one of my prayers being answered or a trail that goes back to basics in which to rely on God and trust him. I remember prior to joining Accenture, I asked God what did he thing about it and if it was a good fit for me. I didn't get an answer, but rather I just let things build on its own to see if this is what God might be leading me to. I always thought to myself a good time frame of knowing if you are a good fit for something is that you should always try it out to see if you like or don't like it.

So I guess in a way God gave me a year to see if I like working here. hmmm, interesting huh.

I'm actually looking forward to some time off, and just doing a little soul search if it happens that it is not in Gods will that I belong here. Change is taking place, and I remember I use to dread change...but for some reason I'm actually looking forward to it this time around.

“who has saved us and called us to a holy life—not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. The good ones slept better... while the bad ones seemed to enjoy the waking hours much more. - Woody Allen

My Small Group

Doesn't look to be small at all, because theres like 20+ people. I'm like wow...we might need a bigger venue. But then thinking about it I'm pretty sure they dont mind us being there and only take up a little bit of space...just 1/3 of the restaurant. But hey! we bring them business.

Small group was pretty good, though it wasn't the lesson that got my thoughts moving. It was actually the ice break. We the game "I have not" and the idea is you think of stuff you have not done, and then you ask the group if they have not done it. Those whom have done it will pick up a point. Kind of interesting thinking about it the person who gets the least amount of points win...but also looses out because shows they haven't done the lease depending on the range of questions.

So it got me started off on thinking stuff that I would like to do, there so much to see and so much to do. Some time its a struggle with what people want and what the world expect. I mean I had decent size stack, but some of the question people were asking were really interesting and just seem like something I would want to do.

My Camera

I've been neglecting my camera as of late. Just been busy with somethings and some what motivated to take pictures but not really. I should really spend more time outside is what I've concluded.

My Morning Coffee

Some what amusing...

“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.
